OFFICIALLY ADULT: Wish Google on its 18th B’DAY!

*YES, ITS OFFICIAL*

Okay, so today is the day when a company with the vision “to organise the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful” came into existence?

What’s that Google? Is it your 18th birthday today? Happy birthday Google! You’re now old enough that’s for sure but sorry to nitpick, but are you sure it’s your birthday?

Yes, you read that and we are literally saying it. There’s been some confusion over that in the past. Presently, on 27 September, you have one of your m-e-r-r-y -m-a-k-i-n-g “Google doodles” up on your homepage wishing yourself a #h-a-p-p-y B’DAY!

Normally, we run to you for every now and then, and you being so nice to us have been wishing the ones whom the world has forgotten by dedicating your tributes with those doodles. And here we are, forgetting your big day.

In fact, most years you have a Google Doodle up on 27 September. Except in 2005, when you put it up on 26 September. And 2004, when you put it up on 7 September. And 2003, when you put it up on 8 September.

Oh, and your own company history says you registered Google.com on 15 September 1997 and filed for incorporation on 4 September 1998.
Are you just celebrating today because it’s the anniversary of the first time you put up your own birthday doodle, in the year 2002?

Well, whatsoever is the case, I wish you a very happy 18th birthday *as per your display* and I wish that you grow with the same light & chirp.

P.S: KEEP HELPING US!

*HAPPY BIRTHDAY*
